The figures are generally clear and well produced, although I would have welcomed more of them. …I did find material that will be useful for teaching. It is for the specialist areas that researchers will find the book most useful. It is thus very much a book for the library of research institutions.

Mostly OK book with good first chapter

This book is masive. The first article in the book is very useful, but the rest less so. As you get to the later chapters, the usefulness is lower. Good book for references.
