An excellent textbook/handbook

An excellent source for information on the use of laser-based remote sensing technologies. The book covers the basics across many different types of laser remote sensing approaches and provides substantial detailed information on each method, as well. The only limitation I can see is that it is a bit theoretical and doesn't cover much detail on the actual use of such systems, particularly in terms of computation methods and the display of data. It is, however, and excellent textbook/handbook on laser remote sensing systems and will be a welcomed addition to your professional library.

There are very few books on this subject, and this one of those that is recent enough to be useful. It has subject matter experts that for the most part, write clearly and incisively about the what works and doesn't and what directions the field may go.
